Planning Your Future 101

Win a 60

Seeing how this blog is targeted mainly towards the younger audience, its only right to discuss the issue of planning your future. Without doing so, your life is basically improvisation. In other terms, you take things as they come without no planning.

So why exactly is it important to plan your future? Simply it allows you to manage your future and have an idea of how to work your life around it if a curve ball is thrown into your life. But not only does it allow you to manage your future better and better support your lifestyle, its all about preparation. Imagine throwing a party with no planning, its sure to be a disaster.

So what are the three main things youth should start worry about planning TODAY!

1. Career Preparation
Knowing what you want to do in the future is a big decision. Make sure its something that you absolutely love doing. And don’t say “I like helping people” because that’s a very broad base. No matter what you do, your helping people regardless. Something like “I like to draw and create stories” could mean you may have a future in computer animation. And that is becoming the big hype in the movie industry today.

Define your likes and dis-likes and draw up a spider web to figure out what you want to do in terms of building a career.

2) Financial Planning
People believe that by saying “financial planning” I am saying to plan your financial future as it comes. Once again, big mistake. Planning your financial status in the future can help you for so many reasons.

The biggest reason you should plan your future financial status is that it allows you to meet or exceed goals. Set a goal to “obtain a credit score of at least 620 or higher.” This’ll test your ability to better manage your financial life and help you decide what is a NEED and what is a WANT. Necessity comes first, then focus on what you want.

3) Family Values
Lastly, many people say that you shouldn’t worry about having a family for a while and a majority of the time, these people are right. BUT, what they must realize is that it will happen sooner or later. Planning for a family can be a headache especially when it comes in the spur of the moment. Its never too early to plan for a family so do so while you can.

Truth be told, I’m only 19 years old and me and my fiancé have started planning our family and our future. We’ve both decided our careers and our family life. Now we just need to plan our financial future to complete everything.

In Conclusion…
These are NOT scientific recommendations by anybody but more yet of what I believe could help people better build their life in the future. These 3 core things will help you build a more successful life and give you a stronger lifestyle in terms of being happy.

Alongside that, I’d recommend everyone to make their resolutions. I talked about this on ProficientOnline.com and plan to discuss the issue of New Years Resolutions soon but for right now, I’ll let you do some research before going into it.
